A 3-year-old child was killed Tuesday morning after being crushed by a vehicle that her father was working on at a home in Acushnet, Massachusetts.
Police said the accident happened at the family's home on Jean Street at 11:43 a.m.
The girl, who has been identified as Victoria Varieur, was pronounced dead at the scene and her father was transported to Saint Lukes Hospital.
The exact cause of the accident is under investigation, but the Bristol County District Attorney's Office believes the vehicle rolled down the driveway and struck and killed Varieur.
The vehicle eventually came to rest against another vehicle parked on the opposite side of the street.
No foul play is expected.
