It's the campaign that was heard around the world.
The "Ice Bucket Challenge," created here in New England by Pete Frates, took the summer of 2014 by storm. The purpose was to raise awareness and support for ALS research.
Now the "Ice Bucket Challenge" is back, and Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker helped in the campaign relaunch by taking the challenge along with Frates and his family on the steps of the Statehouse.
Baker took the challenge wearing a red "Free Brady" T-shirt, just two days before New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is scheduled to be in New York City for a federal court hearing on his Deflategate-related suspension.
Organizers say last year's "Ice Bucket Challenge" raised more than $220 million for ALS research. Donations can be made at http://alsicebucketchallenge.org.
