Hamburger Chain Apologizes for Twitter Post Featuring Slain Journalist James Foley

A hamburger chain based in Washington, D.C. has apologized on Twitter after posting an image of slain New Hampshire journalist James Foley.

Foley, a 2002 graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, was beheaded by ISIS in 2014.

According to Masslive.com, Z-Burger posted a now-deleted tweet with an image of Foley, moments before he was killed, with the words, "When you say you want a burger and someone says okay let's hit McDonald's".

Underneath the photo read the words, "You disgrace me," according to Masslive.

Z-Burger owner Peter Tabibian has since tweeted several apologies and said an outside company, Valor Media, was responsible for the ad.

According to Masslive, Valor Media blames Z-Burger for the ad.
