Two vehicles collided head-on in Wellfleet early Saturday morning, sending two people to Cape Cod Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Camille Rogers, 22, of Ithaca, New York, collided with 26-year-old Daniel McLaughlin of Falmouth on Route 6 near Fresh Brook Lane at 5:03 a.m. The Wellfleet and Eastham Fire Departments arrived on the scene to treat the victims.
Route 6 remained open during the investigation, though traffic was heavy in the area. The cause of the accident remains unknown and is under investigation by the Wellfleet Police Department and members of the Cape Code Regional Reconstruction Team.
McLaughlin was later transported from Cape Cod Hospital to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
