Heavy Winds Raise Concerns During Storm

Wind and rain were heavy on the South Shore of Massachusetts the day before Thanksgiving.

There was no snow on the South Shore of Massachusetts during the pre-Thanksgiving storm, but there certainly was heavy wind-gusts and wind-driven rain.

Wednesday afternoon, flag poles could be seen rocking back and forth on Ocean Street in Marshfield.

There was also minor localized street flooding, but as of nine pm, no power outages according to NSTAR's online database.

Earlier in the day the ocean was also swollen and choppy, but the South Shore dodged a bullet.

"Yeah, it's more windy, no snow or anything," said one resident.

Another woman who came to check out the waves said, she enjoys the wind from the comfort of her car. She had the day off.
