A high-ranking New Hampshire State Police trooper is on leave following his arrest for allegedly choking his brother.
The Union Leader reports that Maj. Christopher Aucoin, 44, of Wilton, was arrested on May 28 for domestic violence after he allegedly put his hands around his brother's neck and choked him. Aucoin reportedly suffered a head injury in the fight after his brother hit him with a paint can. The fight happened at Aucoin's parents' house in Jaffrey.
Aucoin, state police commander of operations, is on leave from his job dealing with "health issues." He is expected to be arraigned next month.
