High School Football Player Stabbed After Game

Police are investigating after an Everett High School football player in Massachusetts was stabbed hours after scoring the go-ahead touchdown in a game.

Sixteen-year-old Marvens Fedna was stabbed in the back and hand early Sunday morning. He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital where he underwent surgery and was reported to be in fair condition as of Monday morning.

Fedna's 1-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter Saturday gave Everett a 12-7 upset win over St. John's Prep.

School Superintendent Frederick Foresteire said Fedna was walking home from a party with some friends when the stabbing occurred.

Investigators are releasing few other details about the incident.
