Hillary Clinton's Reported Top VP Pick in Boston on Friday

Hillary Clinton's reported top pick for vice president is Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, and he has several events in Boston on Friday.

However, that could change if Clinton does select him to be her running mate.

Many people believe if the senator cancels those events, that will mean he'll likely be chosen.

Meanwhile, sources tell NBC News that the presumptive Democratic nominee with announce her choice of running mate first by text to supporters and then at a rally in Tampa, Florida, Friday afternoon; the first joint appearance will be in Miami on Saturday.

A Kaine Senate staffer tells NBC News that after Boston, Kaine will head to a newly-added fundraiser in Rhode Island.

Boston Mayor Marty Walsh tells necn that Kaine has "a good progressive record."
