Home, Cars Destroyed in Late-Night Fire

An Arundel, Maine, home has been destroyed by a late night fire.

Officials say the home's owner called police at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday saying the roof of her home was on fire. The roof had collapsed by the time fire crews arrived.

The fire then spread to three cars, a pickup truck, a camper and an all-terrain vehicle.

Firefighters were able to control the fire within an hour.

Fire officials tell necn affiliate WCSH-TV five people were inside the home when the fire broke out but no one was hurt. Investigators are looking into the cause.

Firefighters from Biddeford, Kennebunk and Kennebunkport also responded.

The Red Cross has been contacted and is working with the family.
