Police: Homeless Woman Arrested After Assaulting Emergency Personnel

A homeless woman was arrested after assaulting emergency personnel.

According to police, they responded to the Moby Dick Motel, located at 671 State Road in Dartmouth, Massachusetts at approximately 4 p.m. Saturday to assist EMS personnel with a man and woman who seemed to have overdosed.

The woman became combative and subsequently assaulted several members of the EMS staff. While attempting to restrain her, she bit two police officers, police said.

After officers were able to restrain her, she was transported to St. Luke's Hospital to be treated and evaluated.

Police identified the woman as Crystal Andrade, 35, and charged her with four counts of assault and battery of ambulance personnel and two counts of assault and battery of a police officer.

No emergency personnel were seriously injured.

The other man who was accompanying Andrade was revived with Narcan, police said.
