‘Horrific' Double Murder Remains Unsolved 5 Years Later

Nearly five years after a husband and wife were found shot to death inside their Massachusetts home, authorities are pleading for the public to help them solve their murders.

John and Geraldine Magee were found shot to death in their Andover home on Dec. 14, 2011, hours after their Lexus SUV was found on fire in Boston.

State and local police say they've worked without countless local police departments and federal authorities as they interviewed family, friends, neighbors and business associates in four states and 20 communities in the Greater Boston area.

Calling the Magees' slaying "horrific," Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett said his office still hopes to solve their homicide.

"Someone out there knows something," he said in a statement. "We are asking you to search your memory and your conscience, pick up the phone and call us."

Anyone with information is asked to call state police assigned to the Essex district attorney's office at 978-745-8908 or Andover police's anonymous tip line at 978-470-3864.
