Hunter Found Safe After Missing for 4 Days

A 72-year-old hunter who had been missing since Wednesday has been found safe.

Vermont State Police say searchers with the U.S. Border Patrol found John "Jack" Chapman Sunday afternoon in a remote area of Norton, about a mile south of the Canadian border.

State police say the Brattleboro man had lost his bearing on Wednesday in Holland and was trying to make his way back to camp. He was found four days later about three miles from where he was last seen by other hunters.

Chapman was taken to a hospital for evaluation. He's expected to be OK.
