Husband Allegedly Ran Over and Killed His Wife Backing Up in the Driveway in Quincy, Mass.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene

Police say a man ran over his wife while backing up in a driveway in Quincy, Massachusetts, leaving the woman dead.

The driver, 54, will not face charges in the death of 52-year-old Zhen Li.

Officers spent hours at the scene, examining the Toyota minivan involved.

According to Quincy Police, the man reversed in the driveway on Phillips St., hitting Li, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neighbors on Phillips Street say they didn't hear any yelling or brakes screeching; they only knew something was wrong when police started arriving at the scene around 2:30 pm.

The husband was taken to the hospital for stress-related issues likely caused by the crash, according to police.

It appears as if this was an accident, but investigators want to make sure nothing suspicious took place.

The minivan was eventually towed away, and family and friends of the couple gathered in the driveway.

No charges have been filed at this point.
