63-Year-Old MedFlighted After Multi-Vehicle Crash

The southbound side of the highway was shut down to allow for a medical helicopter to land.

Interstate 95 southbound in Danvers, Massachusetts, has been reopened following a multi-vehicle crash in which a 63-year-old man was injured.

The crash happened around 6:30 Friday morning. Massachusetts State Police say preliminary investigation shows a northbound driver crossed the grass median into the southbound side and crashed into another car.

The southbound side of the highway was shut down to allow for a medical helicopter to land.

Officials say the victim, a 63-year-old male, was MedFlighted with serious injuries to Mass. General Hospital.

Two other cars were involved, but there were no other injuries.
