"I'm done," Bill Belichick said after seven straight Antonio Brown-related questions, bringing an abrupt end to his Friday press conference.

The New England Patriots head coach clearly had no interest in talking about Brown's role on the team or his off-field issues, despite a new report from Sports Illustrated that Brown sent "intimidating" text messages to a woman who accused him of sexual misconduct. He had previously been accused of rape by a different woman in a lawsuit filed last week.

After a brief preview of Sunday's game against the New York Jets, Belichick said he would have no comment on any of Brown's off-the-field situations or questions.

"Anything on football, I'm happy to answer."

Wide receiver Antonio Brown spoke briefly Thursday, giving his first public comments as a member of the Patriots.

But the first question was about Brown, asking if the off-the-field issues made it more difficult to work with him on the field.

"Well, when we work on football, we work on football," Belichick replied.

He was then asked about Brown's role on Sunday, and he said he wasn't going to get into it. Asked about on-field performance versus off-field behavior, Belichick again bristled.

"Well, that's a big picture question. We answer it the best we can. There's no set formula."

But the questions about Brown kept coming. The final question was about whether all of the headlines surrounding the controversial wide receiver will affect his status with the team.

"Yeah, I think I've already addressed this, so we're going to get ready for the Jets here. I'm happy to answer any football questions, but the rest of it, I'm done with the rest of it."

Britney Taylor, Brown's former trainer, last week filed a federal lawsuit against the new Patriots player, alleging he exposed himself and sexually assaulted her.

One more person mentioned Brown's name, and that was it -- the coach signaled that he was finished and walked out the door.
