1 Killed in Wrong-Way Crash Involving 3 Vehicles on Mass. Turnpike

The driver, a 28-year-old male from Rutland, was traveling eastbound on the westbound side

One person was killed and several were injured following a wrong-way crash involving three vehicles on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Southborough.

The crash occurred just before midnight prior to Exit 11A, according to state police.

The driver, a 28-year-old male from Rutland, was traveling eastbound on the westbound side. 

His vehicle struck two other vehicles head-on. Four occupants of those vehicles were taken to area hospitals with unknown injuries. The wrong-way driver was killed in the crash.

No names have been released.

The crash remains under investigation.
