Inmate Death Under Investigation

Investigators say there's no evidence of foul play in the death of a Maine State Prison inmate.

Investigators say there's no evidence of foul play in the death of a Maine State Prison inmate.

The Maine Department of Corrections says 56-year-old Jerry Robin Lydick died Wednesday night. He was serving a 20-year sentence for gross sexual assault.

A Maine medical examiner's office spokesman said Thursday that he died from natural causes.

Lydick wasn't due to be released until 2032. As is standard practice, both the Maine State Police and the medical examiner's office were notified of his death.
