Investigation Underway After 3 Dumpster Fires Within a Mile

Brockton firefighters extinguished three dumpster fires within 20 minutes of each other

Firefighters in Brockton, Massachusetts, extinguished three dumpster fires that started within 20 minutes of each other about a mile apart Wednesday morning. 

The Brockton Fire Department officials say the fires are suspicious.

The first fire occurred around 6:00 a.m. at a CVS Pharmacy on Centre Street. Shortly after, firefighters responded to a 6:30 a.m. call of a similar fire at the shopping plaza on 700 Crescent St. Two fires were set in separate dumpsters behind the building.

The investigation is ongoing into how the fires started. No arrest have yet been made.
