Isaiah Thomas Back in Boston: 'I Love This City'

"I love this city. I love this organization," former Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas said upon his return to Boston when the Cavs visited. "They've given me the opportunity to be who I always wanted to be, and I can't thank them enough, so there's no hard feelings to anybody in this city or anybody in this organization, and I'm glad I'm back."

Former Boston Celtics star Isaiah Thomas has been traded for the second time in six months, according to a report.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Cleveland Cavaliers have traded Thomas and Channing Frye to the Los Angeles Lakers for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr.

Thomas led the Celtics to last year's Eastern Conference Finals against the Cavs before being forced to sit out the last three games of the series due to a hip injury.

He was traded to the Cavs in the offseason as part of the trade that brought Kyrie Irving to the Celtics.

Thomas returned from his hip injury in early January, but struggled to fit in with his new team. After averaging 28.9 points per game for Boston last year, he averaged just 14.7 points per game for Cleveland. He was also outspoken in his criticism of his new teammates.

The Cavaliers swung two other trades ahead of Thursday's deadline, sending former Celtic Jae Crowder and Derek Rose to the Utah Jazz as part of a three-team deal with the Sacramento Kings that will bring Utah's Rodney Hood and Sacramento's George Hill to Cleveland.

They're also reportedly trading Dwyane Wade to Miami for a protected second round pick.
