Island Ferries Halting for Storm

Ferry service to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket has been suspended due to the blizzard.

The Steamship Authority said it suspended all ferry service to Nantucket on Monday afternoon and all service to Martha's Vineyard as of 7 p.m.

All ferry service has been canceled for Tuesday.

Cape Cod and the islands are bracing for possible wind gusts of 75-80 mph along with the threat of coastal flooding.

Gov. Charlie Baker has banned all non-essential motor vehicle travel as of midnight.
