A kitten stolen Thursday from a Massachusetts adoption center has been found and returned, the MSPCA confirmed Friday.
Caramel, a domestic, short-haired torbie born two and a half months ago, was stolen Thursday afternoon from the MSPCA-Nevins Farm adoption center in Methuen. Around 2 p.m. Friday, the blog Turtleboy Sports posted a possible identification for the suspect, and the MSPCA contacted police, who recovered the animal.
Surveillance footage from Thursday shows Caramel's head peeking out of the woman's hand bag.
Another surveillance image shows the man who was with the suspect.
Authorities have contacted the person the MSPCA says stole the kitten. It was not immediately clear whether charges will be filed.
