A kitten was stolen Thursday afternoon from the MSPCA-Nevins Farm adoption center in Methuen, Massachusetts.
Caramel is a two-and-a-half-month-old domestic, short-haired torbie (brown with some orange markings).
"At this point our number one priority is getting Caramel back in our care,” said Meaghan O’Leary of the MSPCA-Nevins Farm.
The suspect is a woman described by staffers as caucasian, approximately 5'6" tall and weighing 200 pounds.
Surveillance footage shows Caramel's head peeking out of the woman's hand bag.
Another surveillance image shows the man who was with the suspect.
The woman was driving a light-colored Ford F150 extended cab pick-up truck.
Security cameras on the property failed to capture the license plate number.
The Methuen police department is investigating the incident that happened around 1:12 p.m. Thursday.
The MSPCA-Nevins Farm is hoping the release of these images will help identify the woman so that Caramel may be safely returned.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Methuen police department at 978-983-8698 or the MSPCA-Nevins Farm at 978-687-7453 ext 6101.
