Icy Roads Lead to Vermont Crashes

A multi-vehicle crash on I-89 in Vermont closed the interstate in both directions between Berlin and Montpelier on Tuesday.

The crash took place between exits 7 and 8, according to necn affiliate WPTZ

Motorists will still experience delays as the backed-up traffic will take time to clear. Icy road conditions remain throughout central Vermont.

There is no immediate word on any injuries. 

Earlier in the day, a secton of I-89 in Williston was closed and then reopenedfollowing two three-car accidents in the area, according to police.

The accidents were in the southbound lane near exit 16.

There is no word on the conditions of the victims in those crashes, either.
