    Deadly Shooting of Husband and Wife Under Investigation

    An elderly couple is dead after a shooting in West Boylston, Massachusetts, and authorities say the public is not at risk.

    A husband and wife were found shot to death in their car Monday in West Boylston, Massachusetts.

    Police responded around 2:30 p.m. to 127 Hartwell St., where a shooting had taken place. Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. says 79-year-old Dolores Chisholm was pronounced dead at the scene, while 78-year-old Robert Chisholm died after being taken to an area hospital.

    Notes were found in the couple's home, and there is not believed to be any threat to the public, according to Early.

    The cause and manner of the couple's deaths are pending.

    A would-be robber armed with a knife had a surprise in store when an Alabama store clerk pulled out a machete in defense. The two's brief knife fight was caught on camera before the clerk runs out to damage the robber's car.

    According to police, suspect Seth Holcomb walked up to the counter to make a purchase. He leaves the store and then comes back in as if to make a second purchase. Then, he pulled out a knife at the counter. What he didn't expect was that the clerk would pull out a machete of his own.
