Lay's Releases New Lobster Roll Flavored Potato Chips

The potato chip company will celebrate the new flavor in Rockland, Maine from Aug. 1-5

Lay's is releasing new lobster roll flavored potato chips as part of its "Tastes of America" program.

New England Lobster Roll is one of eight new flavors being unveiled this summer, representing eight different regions of the country.

"Inspired by the lobster shacks of the Northeast, fans can now get the flavor of fresh lobster served on a buttery grilled roll," the company said in a press release.

Lay's will celebrate the new flavor at the Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland from Aug. 1-5.

"Lay's knows how significant local cuisine is to Americans," said Sarah Guzman, senior director of marketing for Lay's. "We couldn't think of a better time of year to bring these flavors to our fans because between barbeques, food festivals and outdoor fun, summertime truly is the most flavorful time of year."

The other seven regional limited-time flavors are Cajun Spice, Chile Con Queso, Chesapeake Bay Crab Spice, Deep Dish Pizza, Fried Pickles With Ranch, Pimento Cheese and Thai Sweet Chili.
