A sex offender with a rap sheet is in trouble with the law again after being arrested over the weekend for allegedly watching a woman outside her apartment in Melrose, Massachusetts.
A woman called police Saturday to tell them a man had been watching her for several days when she would leave her apartment to walk her dog, according to Melrose police.
After checking the Massachusetts sex offender registry online, the woman told police she recognized the man watching her as Tyler Jacquard, 33, of Melrose, police said.
On Saturday night, officers patrolling the area on bicycle observed a man matching Jacquard's description, according to a police statement. Jacquard was allegedly seen by police standing by a window and looking into an apartment.
Jacquard was arrested without incident, police said.
He was arraigned Tuesday in Malden District Court and charged with parole violation, trespassing and disorderly conduct. It's unclear if he has an attorney or when he's due back in court.
This is not Jacquard's first brush with the law. In December 2018, he was arrested for allegedly climbing through an unlocked window of an Endicott College student's dorm room and standing over the victim as she slept. He was charged with two counts of burglary and a charge of disorderly conduct.
In 2017, he was arrested in a peeping incident at Wellesley College. In 2016, Jacquard was placed on probation for a lewd act in his car outside a Boston University dorm while looking at two women.
As a Level 3 sex offender, Jacquard has been deemed at high risk of re-offending with a high degree of danger to the public.
