Wednesday's storm may have moved out of New England, but its influence is sending shivers through our bones.

Wind gusts past 40 mph Wednesday with temperatures stuck in the 20s south and 10s north sent our wind chill factor to between 0 and 10 degrees.

It is less windy Thursday, but it's also a little snowy.

Following the early morning coating of snow along our south coast, our sky will brighten to mostly sunny by afternoon with a high temperature near 20 degrees north and 30 degrees south.

Wind will remain gusty out of the west and northwest 15 to 25 mph.

High pressure comes in from southeastern Canada Thursday night with mostly clear skies. Temperatures will be near 0 degrees north to teens in southern New England.

Friday is a bright and brisk day with a high temperature once again only in the 20s.

A weak weather system will come through on Saturday with many clouds, and a chance of a bit of snow, or rain and snow near the shore.

At this point it looks like any development of that system should be after it goes by and out to sea during Saturday afternoon.

That leaves us with a bright weekend with more seasonable temperatures of 20s north and 30s south.

The weather pattern remains very active with plenty of cold in northern and eastern Canada and now more storms coming off the Pacific ocean.

Our attempt to time and place each individual energy center is a major forecasting challenge next week.

The early call is for a chance of more light snow, or rain and snow near the shore Sunday night and Monday. Then again more snow in the mountains, and rain or snow near the coast again Tuesday night into Wednesday

It does look like we warm up a bit early next week, before cooling back again the second half of the week, a lot like we're experiencing right now.

The long range outlook for Christmas weekend is for wintry weather from coast to coast. We likely have a very busy weather map across the entire nation.
