Limited Emergency Declared in Maine

Gov. Paul LePage made the announcement to help restore power after the storm hit the region.

Maine Gov. Paul LePage declared a limited emergency in the state Sunday in order to help restore power that was knocked out by severe weather.

According to the governor's office, approximately 120,000 customers of Central Maine Power, Emera and Eastern Maine Electric Co-Op had reportedly lost power as of 4 p.m.

The early winter storm dumped snow on Maine, which also got pummeled with winds.
