Lost Hiker Found After He Followed Streams

A lost hiker in in the Crawford Notch area followed streams and walked for miles before he was rescued

New Hampshire Fish and Game officers say a lost hiker in in the Crawford Notch area followed streams and walked for miles before he was rescued.

Officers said 45-year-old Maz Derzi of Concord, Massachusetts, was in good condition early Friday and did not need medical attention. Search teams were still hiking out of the woods for several hours after he was picked up by a Department of Transportation night patrolman on U.S. Route 302.

Officers said Derzi was hiking up to the Mizph Spring Hut between Mount Jackson and Mount Eisenhower when he became disoriented Thursday.
