Authorities are investigating an overnight shooting in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Lowell police said officers arrived at the scene on North Street just after 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, where they found a 21-year-old Lowell man shot in both legs.
The victim told responding officers that he was walking down North Street when he was approached by an armed suspect who demanded his cell phone and money.
After giving the robber his money and cell phone, the victim was shot in both legs.
The victim was taken to a local hospital to treat his gunshot wounds. His injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
Investigators said the suspect was described as a male who was wearing dark clothing and a mask.
The investigation is ongoing.
