MBTA Announces Bus Shuttles for Parade

For the first time, shuttle bus service will operate for St. Patrick's Day Parade in Boston on Sunday

The MBTA has announced shuttle bus service will be available for the annual South Boston St. Patrick's Day Parade on Sunday.

Shuttle bus service will operate to and from South Station, and along Summer St. and East 1st St. from the hours of 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Parade-goers can also take the Red Line to South Station, Andrew Station, and Broadway Station, but the MBTA says trains will frequently bypass Broadway due to heavy crowds and safety concerns.

You can watch the parade live on necn and www.necn.com. We'll kick off the celebration with our "Live on the Green Carpet" pre-show at 9 a.m., followed at 10 by the Breakfast with host State Senator Linda Dorcena Forry. The parade kicks off at 12:30 p.m.
