MBTA Bus Driver Arrested For Leaving Scene After Crash

An MBTA bus driver accused of leaving the scene of a crash in Melrose, Massachusetts, was arrested Thursday, a source confirms to necn.

MassDOT announced Thursday night that MBTA Bus 540 allegedly struck a parked car on West Wyoming Avenue after 5 p.m. and kept going. According to the department, concerned passengers called 911.

The bus was pulled over by state police in Stoneham.

The driver, MassDOT confirms, will be summonsed to court for "leaving the scene of a crash that caused property damage.

The driver's identity has not been released.
