With frigid temperatures hitting much below zero with a wind chill Thursday morning, transportation officials are working to keep services up and running.
MBTA officials say that they have stored majority of their equipment indoors and that crews have been consistently checking the trains and tracks to make sure operations run smoothly.
They say crews will remains alert throughout the day to respond to any weather-related impacts to services.
Officials say there are some delays and that people should bundle up, arrive early and check any alerts or updates on their website.
