28-Year-Old Man Hit, Killed by MBTA Commuter Rail Train

A man was hit and killed by an MBTA commuter rail train in Massachusetts late Thursday night, officials confirmed.

MBTA transit police say it happened in Lowell near Lundberg and O'Neil streets around 11:45 p.m.

The victim, who has only been identified as a 28-year-old man, died from his injuries after being hit by an outbound commuter rail train.

Although foul play is not suspected, transit police detectives along with officials from the Middlesex district attorney's office are investigating.
