An MBTA Green Line train carrying about 45 passengers derailed Tuesday morning, causing service to be suspended.
MBTA officials said the incident happened at about 10:25 a.m. after the center wheels of an outbound train's car derailed at the Beaconsfield stop in Brookline. Service between Kenmore and Reservoir is suspended until further notice for the Green Line D Branch.
Inbound passengers can instead take a train to Reservoir then to Cleveland Circle to continue their trip. Shuttle buses are set to be deployed for commuters.
No injuries occurred, according to MBTA officials.
The cause of the derailment remains under investigation. Meanwhile, crews are working to re-rail the car.
The derailment comes after Keolis announced a surge in passengers on the Commuter Rail heading to the Patriots' championship parade in Boston and after a man was killed by a commuter rail train in Norwood on Tuesday.
