Maine AG Starts Awareness Campaign to Fight Opiate Addiction

Under the campaign three TV ads are being aired in Maine

Janet Mills, Maine's Attorney General, is launching a new public service campaign called "Dose of Reality" to fight opiate addiction, necn affiliate WCSH6 reports

Mills said she hopes that the campaign would make it clear that prescription painkillers killed 1,000 Mainers over the past decade.

"If you start taking pills don't count on getting into recovery just like that and overcoming it," Mills said.

Under the campaign three TV ads are being aired in Maine. It also includes a new website.
