An Allegiant Air flight heading to Maine was diverted Wednesday evening to T.F. Green Airport in Rhode Island.
Flight 736 was heading from Orlando, Florida, to Bangor, Maine. Officials have not said why the flight was diverted, but one passenger who spoke with necn affiliate WJAR says there was a smell of smoke halfway through the flight.
None of the 120 passengers was hurt.
The airline booked passengers into local hotels for the night and will fly them out tomorrow morning.
Travelers who opt to find alternate transportation will be able to submit their receipts to be reimbursed up to $120.
