    Presque Isle Police Department
Police in Presque Isle, Maine are searching for missing brothers Joel Strother II, 12, and Carter Strother III, 10.

Two Maine children reported missing last week have been found safe and their father has been arrested.

WCSH-TV reported Tuesday afternoon that 12-year-old Joel Strother II and his brother, 10-year-old Carter Strother III, were found in North Carolina, one of the states where the children were suspected to have been taken.

Their father, Joel Strother, reportedly took the Presque Isle children against their will. The exact charges he is facing were not immediately known.

Presque Isle police thanked people for sharing information about the missing boys on Facebook, and said the boys were found due to a single tip.
