Maine Man Charged In Connection With Fatal Shooting Pleads Guilty Under Agreement

Johnny Ouch's sentencing will be delayed until a co-defendant's case is resolved

A Maine man charged in connection with a fatal shooting at a recording studio has pleaded guilty.

Johnny Ouch pleaded guilty Thursday under an agreement in which the murder charge was reduced to elevated aggravated assault. A co-defendant, Gang Deng Majok, is awaiting trial.

The Portland Press Herald (http://bit.ly/29Q2R8H ) reports Ouch's sentencing will be delayed until Majok's case is resolved.

The charges stem from the shooting death of 19-year-old Treyjon Arsenault in May 2015. Police say Arsenault and another man were shot at Da Block Studios.

Deputy Attorney General Lisa Marchese said at Ouch's plea hearing that the survivor would testify at trial that Ouch shot and injured him and that Majok fatally shot Arsenault. She says the fight broke out in the studio because of an ongoing rivalry.
