A Maine man is facing charges in connection with the shooting death of a man in Bridgewater on Wednesday night.
Maine State Police arrested James Peaslee, 37, of Easton, Thursday morning and charged him with murder in connection with the death of 79-year-old Paul Hilenski.
After receiving a 911 call, officers arrived to Hilenski's home on Boundary Line Road just before 6 p.m. and found him dead inside.
Authorities say Peaslee was arrested by state troopers while driving on the West Ridge Road in Easton about 1 a.m. Thursday.
Police have not said how the men are connected or what a possible motive could be.
An autopsy on Hilenski will take place at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Augusta.
It's unclear when Peaslee will appear in court to face charges.
