Maine Man Out on Bail After Child Porn Arrest

Investigators say they found thousands of images of infants and toddlers being sexually abused on 37-year-old Wayne Pike's computer

A Maine man is out on bail after being arrested on child pornography charges, state police said.

Thirty-seven-year-old Wayne Pike of 582 Bolsters Mills Rd. in Harrison was arrested for child pornography possession.

Maine State Police say they had been investigating Pike since last summer after receiving a tip, resulting in a search of his house and the seizure of his computer, where investigators found thousands of files and images depicting sexual abuse of infants and toddlers. According to police, none of the victims is believed to be from Maine.

State police say conditions of Pike's bail keeps him away from having contact with anyone under 18; as a result, he cannot go home to his wife and children and must find another place to live.

Pike, who works in construction, is expected to make his first court appearance on Nov. 19 in Cumberland County Superior Court.
