Maine Man Pleads Guilty in Fatal Hit-and-Run

Tommy Clark of Industry entered the plea Monday to operating under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident

A Maine man has pleaded guilty to drunken driving in a fatal hit-and-run that killed a 21-year-old woman in Farmington.

Tommy Clark of Industry entered the plea Monday to operating under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.

Authorities say Clark hit Taylor Gaboury of Wilton on U.S. Route 2 in the early morning hours of Jan. 1.

Police say 25-year-old Clark fled the scene, and was later found at a motel. Court documents say Clark admitted he had been drinking a short time before he hit Gaboury.

Sentencing is scheduled for July 25. The plea deal sets the maximum sentence for the OUI at 10 years with five suspended. The maximum for leaving the scene is five years.

The judge can choose to reject the plea deal.
