Maine Woman Charged Following Stabbing

A man is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries following a stabbing in Arundel, Maine.

The York County Sheriff's Department responded to a reported stabbing at 4:30 p.m. Saturday on South Skillings Road.

Investigation revealed that Violet Walker, 50, had gotten into an altercation with another resident of the home. As a result, Walker allegedly stabbed the man in the neck with a pocketknife. The victim was transported to Maine Medical Center for treatment.

Walker was arrested and charged with aggravated criminal threatening. She is being held on $1,000 bail and will make an initial appearance in court on Monday.
