Rosie the Riveter is getting a reboot- inspiring a new generation of girls to take action.

Although women represent nearly half of the entire workforce, only a quarter of them go into stem-related fields including science, technology, engineering and math. That's why Minuteman Career and Technical High School in Lexington, Massachusetts, created the Girls in Stem Mentoring Program.

For four days, 30 seventh and eighth grade girls from 16 school districts came to the Minuteman Camp. They rotated through stem-related subjects, participating in lessons created by high school peers.

The camp is hoping to keep these young girls on track, creating a pipeline of students primed for highly skilled jobs that are in high demand.
