Man Accused of Making Animal Traps With Razors, Peanut Butter

A man is facing an animal cruelty charge after allegedly baiting razor blades with peanut butter at a park in Falmouth, Massachusetts.

Brian McGrath, 64, of Falmouth, is accused of creating traps for animals by baiting the razor blades and putting them in trees. According to environmental officials, surveillance showed McGrath watching the trees as animals made their way towards the traps.

Police officers removed the razors after children were spotted nearby. Follow-up searches of the park had not revealed additional baiting stations.

McGrath is charged with animal cruelty, reckless behavior creating a risk of serious bodily injury and injuries to trees. It was unclear if he has an attorney.
