Man Accused of Kidnapping and Sexually Assaulting Teen in New Britain

New Britain police have arrested a man who is accused of forcing a teenage girl into his car, then forcing her to touch him inappropriately.

Officers responded to South Burritt Street just after 12:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon to investigate reports of a kidnapping and spoke with a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl, police said.

The girls said they had been walking on Black Rock Avenue when a man in an SUV asked them for sex in exchange for money, then forced the 14 year old into his vehicle, police said.

The 15-year-old girl ran. She found a bystander and asked that person to call the police.

The man then drove back by the 15-year-old and she ran up to the vehicle to try and free her friend, but the 14-year-old managed to wiggle out of the passenger side window, falling out onto the road to escape, according to police.

The teens then ran back to the bystander and waited until police arrived.

The 14-year old told investigators that the man forced her to inappropriately touch him while they were in the car.

The witness and the girls gave a partial plate number from the vehicle the man was driving and officers identified 28-year-old Alan Damien Dejesus, of New Britain, as the suspected driver. Police said he was also identified as the perpetrator.

Dejesus was charged with first-degree kidnapping, two counts of risk of injury, third-degree sexual assault, unlawful restraint, assault in the third degree and breach of peace.

Dejesus was held on a $750,000 bond.
