Man Accused of Murdering Stepdaughter Back in Jail

Dennis Duby of Vermont arrested for violating court-ordered conditions

A Vermont man, who is accused in the death of his two-year-old stepdaughter, is back in jail after violating court-ordered conditions.

After an investigation, 32-year-old Dennis Duby was taken into custody on March 12. Police were notified through an anonymous tip on Jan. 18.

Duby has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Dezirae Sheldon.

He was released on bail in April 2014. Vermont State Trooper Patrick Slaney tells necn that based on data from his GPS anklet, it was determined that Duby violated his curfew.
