A New Hampshire man has been accused of removing evidence from the scene of another man's drug-related death.

Police in Mont Vernon arrested 25-year-old Brandon Calderara and charged him with falsifying physical evidence. He was released on $20,000 bail with a scheduled arraignment on March 18. It wasn't immediately known if he had a lawyer.

Police said they responded to a medical call on May 31, 2014, that a 47-year-old man was unconscious. He was in the company of Calderara when police arrived. The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An investigation found the cause of death to be accidental due to the combined effects of fentanyl and ethanol.

Police have accused Calderara of removing drug evidence before they arrived.
