No Bail for Man Accused of Teen's Attempted Abduction

Police say the incident happened near a restaurant in the Shoppers World plaza

A man accused of approaching a girl for sex and attempting to get her in his vehicle in Massachusetts faced a judge Tuesday.

Robert Toney, 25, is being held without bail after allegedly offering money to the 14-year-old girl in exchange for sex near a restaurant in the Shoppers World plaza in Framingham.

She refused and police say Toney then told the girl to get into his car.

She was able to run away.

Police then put out a bulletin and officers in Sherborn stopped Toney a short time later.

Police say he is from Austin, Texas, and is in the process of moving to Providence, Rhode Island.

He has been charged with enticing a child under 16.

His attorney denied all allegations in court, and said his client has no criminal record, adding that he spoke with the girl because she was upset.
