Man Arrested After Standoff with New Hampshire Police

Police took Christopher Garon into custody after 5 hours

A New Hampshire man is being held on $10,000 cash bail after a 5-hour standoff with police in Hooksett.

Officers responded to an area of Campus Drive at 9:23 p.m. on Monday for a report of an unstable man who was armed with a semi-automatic rifle.

When police got to the scene, four to five rounds were heard being discharged in an unknown direction.

After backing off, a perimeter was set up and the SWAT team arrived.

The man, identified as Christopher Garon, 23, was then contained in the cul-de-sac at the end of the street.

By 2:24 a.m., Garon was taken into custody without further incident.

Garon was expected to be arraigned Tuesday on felony reckless conduct and disorderly conduct charges.
